Recovery for SQL Server Supports 2008 and 2005 Backups, Logs

The new major version of Recovery for SQL Server features significant improvements by supporting recovery of corrupted Microsoft SQL Server backups and logs.

Corrupted backup recovery has been introduced for SQL Server 2008 and x64 editions of 2008 and 2005 Servers. The recovery procedure is identical to recovering a corrupted database. The user selects a backup file to recover, and gets a set of SQL scripts with the recovered data.

Log support is available for SQL Server versions 2008, 2005 and 2000. When recovering a corrupted database, user has the Advanced mode option for creating a set of SQL scripts with data recovered from the logs. An important capability is to recover data even from corrupted logs, which cannot be processed with the standard server maintenance tools.

The results of log recovery can be later used along with the data recovered from the main database to rebuild the corrupted SQL Server deployment.

Recovery for Interbase Updated To Support Newest Database Formats

Recovery for Interbase has reached the new major version, 2.0. New corrupted database formats and new features within already supported formats have been added.

List of improvements:

• Added support for Interbase 2007, 7.5 and 7.1
• Added support for Firebird 2.1 and 2.0
• Arrays are now recovered for all supported Interbase/Firebird formats
• Boolean data type recovery is now supported for Interbase
